Summer Eighteen

In May we had the chance to walk for the Children's Reading Foundation of Appalachia in the Mountain Laurel Festival Parade. It was truly an honor as CRFA has been the backbone in all the reading the kids and I have done. Our book shelf is full of fun children's books thanks to CRFA.

We discovered Elijah had a great talent for drawing. He was given a book on drawing Garfield characters and soon after he came out with this picture he drew.

We went to Somerset to see a wonderful "LIVE" Dinosaur exhibit. It was really super cool seeing all the dinosaurs and learning about them.

In June we had the chance to participate in a Community Helpers Camp. We had the opportunity to meet Gero, the police dog and watch him in action. We got to see the helicopter, ambulance, and hummer that is used to help people. We also learned about plants/trees. It was a fun event.

We also enjoyed reading at the lake, and celebrated Children's reading week by having a fun little party with Pinkalicious.
