Sarah Beth is 1 month old

I'm sitting here and I'm one month old...
one day I'll be a year then I'll be 2, then 3, then 4!

Miss Sarah Elizabeth is one month old. 8 lbs and 6 1/2 ounces. Momma says I've smiled a couple times when being talked to and that I've even laughed in my sleep. I still sleep most of the time and momma continues to think I want to be a night owl, really waking up around bedtime and staying awake until 2 am a lot of mornings. I take naps in my crib through out the day and in my basinet beside momma at night.

10 days old

Welcome to the world

Meet Sarah Elizabeth Gibbons! Momma wishes that she had done a little (or a lot) more blogging while she was pregnant with cravings, appointments and details. But the fact is Momma forgot the website link to get here! Finally we are back and playing catch up, so not a lot of details going into any of these posts! Sorry.

Kindergarten "Ready for First Grade"

As I tearfully sent my sweet shy 5 year old off to Kindergarten last August, I quickly fell in love with his teacher. It was so easy to see that Mrs. Lisa Mace loved teaching Kindergarten (she had been with Lone Jack for years). She loved her babies as she told us in one meeting, she had tried the older kids and begged to be put back in Kindergarten. We truly were blessed that she was our Elijah's first teacher. He loved school and he loved Mrs. Mace. I know the first teacher is often the first (nonfamily) person a child loves.
Sadly on May 3 just a few weeks before school was out we learned that our beloved Mrs. Mace had passed away. So young and full of life, it was hard to imagine she was really gone. The last weeks were very difficult. The young kids surely couldn't understand and were frightened by the sudden disruption of their school routine. RIP Mrs. Mace. We will forever remember you with fond memories of the love you shared with your last kindergarten class. Our only regret is that you were unable to be there for Graduation.

3 year olds love Crayola

Levi "JoshuaPants" Gibbons turned 3 earlier this year. (He is so going to start school telling people that is his name.) He and his cousin Gracie celebrated their birthdays together with a very colorful party. Momma had a blast with planning and decorating this party.
